About the city
Jinzhou is a prefecture-level city in southwestern Liaoning Province, on the Bohai Sea coast. It serves as a strategic gateway between the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei area and Northeast China, with jurisdiction over urban districts, county-level cities and counties including Linghai and Beizhen. Its location on major rail and road corridors gives it a strong role in regional transport and logistics.
The local economy is associated with petrochemicals, metallurgy, machinery, agricultural product processing and port logistics. The Port of Jinzhou functions as a regional hub for bulk cargo and container shipping, supporting industrial and trading activity across western Liaoning.
For business travel and the exhibition industry, Jinzhou is primarily a regional platform for industrial equipment, building materials, agricultural products and logistics-related events. Its transport connections to Shenyang, Beijing and other surrounding centers make it a practical destination for B2B meetings, trade promotion and regional distribution activities.
