About the city

Kaifeng is a prefecture-level city in the eastern part of Henan Province, China. Historically one of the Eight Ancient Capitals, it served as the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, when it was the most prosperous and cosmopolitan city in the world. Today, Kaifeng retains a rich cultural heritage, with landmarks such as the Iron Pagoda, the Dragon Pavilion, and the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, making it a key destination for cultural and historical tourism.
