Shijiazhuang

About the city

Shijiazhuang is a prefecture-level city and the capital of Hebei province in northern China. Located southwest of Beijing, it developed historically as an important railway junction and administrative center. Today it is a key industrial city in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, with strengths in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, machinery, textiles, and food processing. As the provincial capital, it serves as a regional center for government, commerce, logistics, and exhibitions serving Hebei and surrounding markets.
