About venue
Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Center (KICEC) is a landmark exhibition complex located in the heart of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province. Situated at No. 289 Chuncheng Road, the venue occupies a total area of 225,000 square meters, with a dedicated exhibition space of 50,000 square meters. Built in 1992, it is one of the earliest modern convention and exhibition centers in Southwest China and has played a pivotal role in connecting Yunnan’s trade and tourism industries with domestic and international markets.
The center benefits from a prime downtown location, within easy reach of Kunming’s central business district, Changshui International Airport, and the main railway station. Its strategic position in a city known as the “Spring City” for its year-round temperate climate makes it an attractive destination for conferences, trade shows, and cultural events. The venue’s infrastructure includes multiple exhibition halls, meeting rooms of various sizes, and supporting facilities such as catering and business services.
KICEC regularly hosts a wide range of events, including commodity fairs, industrial expositions, and professional conferences. It is particularly associated with the China South Asia Expo and other cross-border trade events that leverage Kunming’s proximity to Southeast Asia. The center’s long history and central location make it a key venue for both local and international organizers seeking a well-established exhibition platform in southwestern China.
